Palmerston Square Upgrade enhances the CBD with stylish Basalt stone pavers, creating user-friendly footpaths that improve pedestrian flow and shop visibility, completed by Palmerston North City Council and designed by Isthmus.
Palmerston North Council Beautifying The Square in the CBD using the Basalt stone pavers supplied by Horizon, making for some good looking footpaths for the public to enjoy.
A street party was held on the 8th August in celebration for the opening of the Eastern side of The Square in Palmerston North's CBD. The outcome of the larger more user-friendly footpaths should not only benefit the pedestrians using it but the shops down the street, as it should create better flow and more shop visibility. Although Covid-19 put a delay to the project, it is now done and looking fantastic.
Basalt stone pavers and Granite supplied by Horizon International.
