To address these issues, Pauline required a complete bathroom renovation that would involve replacing the shower, creating a new vanity space, and giving the bathroom a fresh and modern look. 

Although Pauline had already purchased a vanity of her choice, the challenge was to find a way to make it work with the bathroom’s unique dimensions. 

However, our team was up for the task and ready to provide Pauline with her dream bathroom.

Overall look & feel

Our aim was to rejuvenate the bathroom and imbue it with style, richness, and functionality despite its small size and the extensive wear and tear it had undergone over the years. To achieve this, we adopted the client’s preferred colour scheme, which consisted of opulent shades of grey and black. With this theme in mind, we drew upon our expertise to maximise the available space within the bathroom’s unique shape.

Thanks to our creative use of the space and careful attention to detail, the bathroom has been transformed into a brand new, stylish, and highly functional space that is a joy to use.

The client desired to modernise their bathroom and opted for a spacious walk-in shower with a sleek, step-less design, replacing the outdated conventional shower. To complement their vision, they chose a sophisticated colour scheme centred around shades of grey, which was incorporated in the overall design of the bathroom. This included black-coloured fittings, tile edge trim, and a contemporary shower drain that seamlessly integrated with the elegant new shower, bringing an element of luxury and style to the bathroom.

Materials

Choosing the right materials is critical to the success of any bathroom renovation, and for this project, the design team sourced top-of-the-line products to achieve a stunning result. 

One of the standout features of the new bathroom is the spacious walk-in shower which replaces the old style shower with an impractically large step. The walk-in shower features 10mm tempered glass for durability and stability, complemented by the AllProof shower drain system in black from Reece Plumbing, which efficiently drains away water while adding a modern touch.

For the walls and floors, the team opted for high-gloss grey tiles, creating a sleek and elegant ambiance. To ensure maximum waterproofing, Technokolla waterproofing products were used alongside full Aqualine GIB in the bathroom, while new Ceiling GIB was installed for a seamless finish.

The end result is a luxurious and functional bathroom, where every detail has been carefully considered. The tempered glass shower, efficient drainage system, and elegant tiling combine to create a truly modern and sophisticated space that is sure to impress. 

Bathroom Vanity & Storage

The double-drawer freestanding vanity provides more storage space than a wall-hung vanity, making it an ideal choice for those looking to upgrade their bathroom storage options. The vanity’s two spacious drawers allow for easy organization of bathroom essentials, from towels and toiletries to cleaning supplies and more.

Measuring a maximum length of 900mm, this vanity is perfect for a single basin, providing ample room for washing and grooming without feeling cramped. Sourced from Trade Depot, the sleek and modern wall-mount sink mixer and countertop basin sit atop the vanity’s slab top, adding a touch of sophistication to the overall design.

This double-drawer freestanding vanity transforms the bathroom into a warm and welcoming retreat while enjoying the benefits of increased storage and functionality. We eliminated cluttered countertops and created a more streamlined and organized space, all while adding a touch of elegance and style to the bathroom.

Bathroom Fittings & Fixtures

For this bathroom renovation project, we incorporated a range of high-quality fixtures, fittings, and appliances to create a space that is both functional and stylish. Our team opted for Phillip LED downlights, which provide bright and efficient lighting while adding a touch of modern elegance to the space.

To create a bright and clean ambiance, we utilized Resene Alabaster interior paint on the walls. We sourced the tiles from Value Tiles and Flooring, ensuring that they were not only visually appealing but also durable and easy to maintain.

One of the unique features of this bathroom is the all-black tapware and accessories, which were sourced by the client from Trade Depot. This bold and modern design choice adds a touch of sophistication and personality to the space.

In addition, we installed a rimless toilet system, which is not only easy to clean but also helps to conserve water. The bathroom also features a 3-in-1 heater that provides light, heating, and ventilation, ensuring that the space is comfortable and functional all year round.

To add a touch of luxury, we installed a black-framed mirror above the vanity, which provides both style and functionality. And for the shower, we included a slider with an overhead rain system, providing a spa-like experience right in the comfort of your own home. Overall, the result is a stunning and functional bathroom that seamlessly blends style and practicality.
