Remuera Apartment

A complete refurbishment of a penthouse apartment on the border of Remuera and Newmarket. We virtually stripped back the walls of this apartment to welcome new life in a fabulous location.  The sophisticated palette of materials and colours, with careful detailing, resulted in a luxurious, yet understated urban home. The living room acts as the central core of the home, with a bio-fuel gas fire and TV which is able to be hidden behind moveable batten panels. The pattern of stained oak fins and blocks are a common theme throughout, repeating into the hallway.  The kitchen was redesigned and expanded to include a modern scullery,  semi-concealed cooking area and a breakfast bar.  The interior design layout, detail design of the kitchen, the bathroom lighting and built-in furniture were all designed by Paul Rosnell of VRLA Architecture, working closely with Gretl Lukas of Lukas Design who styled the furniture and material palette of this modern home.  See Remuera Apartment on the ECC website here.
