Second Nature has worked closely with Shafer Design and Frontier Pools on numerous successful projects over many years. Whilst this project was extensive and complex, it illustrates the value of established and proven working collaborations between the designer and the lead contractors involved.

On projects of this scale and complexity, it is a pleasure to work with committed professionals to achieve an outstanding outcome for the client. The project team’s combination of experience, creativity, skills and resources brings an enormous depth of ability and knowledge to the project. Any challenges that arose were mitigated with the collective experience of all those involved. Ideas were teased out and the best solution arrived at. 

Whilst it is easy to focus on the aesthetic appeal, complexity and craftsmanship evident in an outstanding landscape project, what is invisible is the human relationships that made a successful project both possible and enjoyable. The physical expression of the project requires labour, materials and machinery. The less visible human components of creativity, teamwork, commitment, trust and clear communication are the real foundation of any successful project. Successful projects require a huge degree of collaboration and from these, enduring relationships are built. This adds another level of depth and pleasure to the outcome. 

This project exemplifies what can be achieved when an experienced and skilled team works closely together to deliver a high-quality project to a discerning and supportive client.
