The client wanted a new pool area and design for an outdoor entertainment area, including an area for sunbeds next to the pool. The design requirements were for simple clean lines in the design with close attention to the colour palette for materials. They also required that the space had no clutter and was low maintenance. The design intent was to create a pool and outdoor entertainment area which followed the clients brief of simple clean lines. A minimalist approach was taken to materials and elements within the design to help us fulfil the client brief. The design of the paving was stripped back to just the essential functions of the space. The main paving area at the end of the pool is designed for the sunbed to rest on. The different widths of paving strips and interplay with the green of the artificial grass created the simple clean lines and modern uncluttered area for the family to use. We used artificial grass and limited planting areas to ensure that the design was low maintenance. All materials were selected to fit in with tones, colour palette, and finish of the house. The glass pool fence, drainage and cream tile were carefully selected to match the existing house exterior. Attention to finishing and detail throughout the construction was what brought this simple modern design to life.

At our yard we have built a showroom where our designers can guide you in what materials would best fit your project, e.g. paving, decking, lighting etc. You can also provide an existing plan to quote your project from and then we will guide you through the landscaping works from start to finish. Luijten Landscaping has a nursery that enables us to provide a large selection of the highest quality plants. If the nursery cannot provide the variety or quantity of plants for your project we will happily source them from one of our nationwide suppliers.
