Webb’s experience in short stay hotels and Serviced Apartments developments, along with our expertise and appreciation of heritage project was applied to create modern facilities and services that was successfully blended in with the heritage feel and look of the site as well as the new and modern part of the site.

The services provided to the site included:

• A central air conditioning system that served all parts of the site.
• State of the art local room AC controllers incorporating occupancy control.
• Energy efficient air conditioning catering for the diverse operation of a hotel.
• Smart Demand based ventilation systems complying with all current NCC ESD requirements.
• Latest in LED lighting design hidden behind a look and feel of a heritage building.
• Electrical and communications infrastructure to cater for all current and future needs.
• Smart Building Management System that can be accessed remotely and capable of expanding to include other future sites as the client’s portfolio grows.

Challenges of the project included providing the guests access to the latest and greatest of what to be expected in a modern hotel room in a heritage restricted project. A stringent fire engineered solution requirement applied to both the heritage portion and the new built sections of the project.
