Steeped in character and elegance, The Fullerton Hotel Sydney is a luxury five-star hotel located in the heart of Sydney’s financial and fashion district and housed in the historic former General Post Office building.

As part of the owner’s quest to deliver a unique, exquisite hotel that is synonymous with warm hospitality and one-of-a-kind flair to make guests’ stays more memorable, FJMT’s simple, yet beautiful, concept in the redesign of the hotel lobby featured our square profiled vertical timber battens installed on curved frames creating a subtle undulating visual synonymous with the elegance of the hotel’s arrival space.

During the procurement phase, europanel were able to value engineer a more cost-effective solution for the battens finish whilst proposing a complete fitting system, involving the prefabrication of the backing frames together with the battens, simplifying the installation on site to the existing masonry walls by reducing labour time that has become synonymous with our competitors ‘off the shelf’ products.
