The Malcolm

LOCATION South Yarra – Melbourne DURATION 5 weeks SCOPE Kitchen BRIEF Our Malcolm project clients were very much tired of their old kitchen. Most builders, when building apartment blocks will repeat the same kitchen over and over in each apartment, whether it fits in the space or not. This cuts costs down and in turn, puts more $$$ in the builders’ pocket. The old kitchen in our client’s apartment no longer functioned and after 20 years was no longer aesthetically pleasing. Our aim was to give our clients the functionality they were craving and in turn a kitchen that they could show off to their friends. By blending cabinetry finishes, we created a showpiece very different from your stock-standard kitchen and by adding the hand-made Spanish tiles to the splashback, we were able to soften the harsh edges of the cabinetry. Overall, our clients were overjoyed at the end result and have been cooking up a storm ever since their kitchen was completed.
