Tunable White for Art

Art is more than a visual experience - it’s a feeling, a mood, an atmosphere. But did you know that lighting can dramatically alter the way we perceive and interact with artwork?

The interplay between light and colour is essential, especially when it comes to showcasing art in its full glory. Switch Lighting’s tunable white luminaires allow for this transformative power, creating dynamic lighting scenes that bring art to life in entirely new ways.

Switch Lighting goes beyond standard illumination, offering a complete experience through our intelligent control systems, with architectural lighting products that are compatible with the world renowned Casambi Bluetooth lighting control technology.

Casambi is a state-of-the-art wireless lighting control system that uses Bluetooth technology to provide seamless, intuitive control over lighting. It allows users to create custom lighting scenes, adjust colour temperature, dim lights, and manage schedules all from a smartphone or tablet. Switch Lighting was a very early adopter of this technology and designed and engineered lighting products that integrate Casambi controls into the luminaires, offering dynamic lighting solutions that can be tailored to any environment. This integration enables users to effortlessly manage their lighting setups, creating adaptable, intelligent lighting systems that enhance both aesthetics and functionality in any space.

By using dynamic lighting, you can transform static art into a living, ever-evolving masterpiece. Whether it’s a gallery space or a residential setting, you can adjust the lighting scenes throughout the day to reflect different moods, highlight different aspects of the artwork, or simply complement the natural changes in daylight. From bright and vibrant at noon to soft and warm at sunset, art becomes part of the atmosphere, changing as your day does.

So, imagine your artwork bathed in a subtle, warm light as the evening descends, only to shift into a cooler, focused light to emphasise specific details when desired. This is what Switch Lighting’s tunable white luminaires can do. With seamless control over colour temperature and intensity, the experience of art becomes fluid and dynamic, enriching the connection between the viewer and the artwork.

The SLiC Push Button Controller and SLiC Rotary Controller bring precision and ease to managing Switch Lighting’s Tunable White luminaires. These controllers allow for seamless adjustments of both brightness and colour temperature, enabling users to fine-tune lighting for optimal impact on artwork. With the Push Button Controller, you can set specific scenes with a single press, while the Rotary Controller offers smooth, intuitive control to adjust lighting dynamically throughout the day, allowing the user to switch between predefined scenes or make real-time adjustments, ensuring the art remains beautifully illuminated in any setting.

At the heart of this lighting flexibility is the Casambi control system. With the simple touch of a button or turn of a rotary dial, you can adjust the light to suit any moment. Whether you're entertaining guests or enjoying a quiet moment, Casambi enabled Switch Lighting allows you to create scenes that enhance both the artwork and the ambiance of the room. It’s all about making lighting part of the experience, allowing it to ebb and flow throughout the day, in perfect harmony with the space and its artistic features.
