The Thirty Eight Elizabeth development in Tauranga is a prime example of how contemporary design can integrate luxurious living with functional retail spaces. The mixed-use development comprises two large residential towers, retail space, and restaurants, and is a first-of-its-kind destination for New Zealand. The iconic Farmers store, which has occupied the site since the 1970s, expands over two levels and brings a modern edge to Tauranga’s retail scene, while a sun-soaked dining terrace makes the most of the site’s downtown atmosphere. Sitting above the retail space are the 10-storey Elizabeth Towers, which contain 97 high-end apartments and 23 luxury townhouses. All brought together under a cohesive aesthetic that draws on a relaxed coastal styles and offers breathtaking views.
