Total Transformation.

This project was a complete transformation of what was otherwise a barren grass bank. This area of the client's property suffered from awful drainage and in the height of summer the low points would remain a bog. The dry stack stone wall was created as a feature for the area as well as improving the flow of water through the extensive field drain system that was added to move water away from the bank and into the stormwater system.

The water feature is fast becoming a niche of Local Landscapes. This feature utilises what is known as a constructed wetland filter to maintain perfect clarity using the natural biology within the system. A perfect low maintenance feature which can be shut off and drained into a 3500 litre holding bay located at the base of the system. A great system for those who head out of town often and don't want the worry of the system running out of water while they are away.

The planting on this project was high impact/minimal maintenance using 4500 plants to create the full feeling from day one. 35 large grade trees/palms were used throughout the garden which in years to come will help to create a sense of privacy and intrigue, breaking lines of sight.
