University of Auckland, Grafton Campus - B507 Park West project houses the School of Medicine and the School fo Population Health within one campus. Located adjacent to the Auckland Central Hospital yet abutting a residential zone, the façade had to be sympathetic to its close neighbours. The design and construct teams collaborated to deliver the building within a tight time-frame. Jasmax applied a detailed façade solution using a combination of our Unitised Curtainwall suites across the building for speed of installation due to the short build programme.
Our Thermosash PW1000 Unitised Curtainwall to the main entrance facade, PW400 Unitised Curtainwall to the North & East Wind Lobbies and PW40 Unitised Curtainwall on the Roof level 4 - with integrated detailed folded zinc non-vision panels and a bespoke ceramic frit design to the glass to offer privacy to its boundaries. For this project we also installed DGU fritted glass rooflights, integrated aluminium canopies, louvre bifold doors to the transformer room and external aluminium soffits.
Thermosash has a well-established history working with universities and technical institutions throughout New Zealand. We provide an integrated service of engineering, manufacture and installation of our proven systems and bespoke façade solutions offering increased value in terms of performance, durability and longevity over the life of the building.
