WMK took part in a design competition to transform a retail and commercial space on Sussex Street into a 4.5 star rated Vibe Hotel.
The architect’s client was seeking a modern visual to appeal to seasoned business and leisure travellers and our euroBLADE was custom designed to create a chic New York loft aesthetic.
euroBLADE S3 battens were fabricated in a prefinished Natural Oak woodgrain to reflect the surrounding environment, referencing the shapes and materials of a heritage school and Gothic church opposite, informing the Manhattan design aesthetic, whilst keeping within the project’s budget.
The ceiling battens were fabricated to be installed around curved walls and to the cathedral like entry ceiling with project specific shop drawings that included all service cutouts which made installation by others a seamless experience.
