Waimairi Beach House

This striking new build was conceived as a dream home for a family of four, a place where they could fully relax into their beachside lifestyle.
Our task: to soften the hard edges of the home’s concrete structure through use of colour, texture and light. The clients’ love of design meant courageous choices could be made. Geometric tiles and suspended mirrors and towel rails in the master bath make a dramatic statement, while metallic highlights throughout the home create a touch of luxe.
Consistent use of timber joinery, ambient lighting and natural textures soften the overall vibe, transforming what could be a monolithic build into a welcoming flow of personalised spaces.
