Formally, the house investigates the idea of a double ended house, connecting a vertically oriented facade element and a horizontal floating box cantilevered into the back yard. To try to emphasize the duality, the living space on the street is veiled behind timber louvres and sets the retreat space of the living area in the most public view, while the rear of the house is opened up to the wide lawn.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
