In this wonderful rural setting of Central Otago between Cambrians and Saint Bathans, the owners were looking for a house that would provide a comfortable environment and withstand the challenges of the weather for their retirement.
The house sits on a long ridge and is protected from the harsh winds by carefully selected, long-lasting materials such as metal and timber cladding. The lounge and dining areas extend to the outdoor living areas (covered decks) and connect the indoor with the outdoor environment. The timber cladding creates warmth as well as protection and works harmoniously with the trees and colours of the environment in order to create cosy retreats and to make the most of views at all levels.
