We recently heard from Nico and Lisa Swanepoel, the new owners of the beautiful newly built showhome in Canterbury, the Cardrona. They couldn’t be happier with their investment and the journey that got them here.
This visually appealing and modern custom home build was designed with the Cardrona Valley in mind, which is nestled between the Crown Mountains and is reflected in the high gables and grey and white colour palette.
The whole structure is constantly bathed in sunlight thanks to the many windows and skylights, warming up the cool colour palette and polished concrete flooring.
The Process
When Nico and Lisa invested in the show home, they became involved midway through the process. Like many new homeowners who work with us to get their dream homes built, the two found it to be a positive experience from day one
“From our first meeting, we were impressed by their friendly, professional and helpful service. The whole process until completion was stress-free and exciting to follow,” the couple said.
Among the things Nico and Lisa found most refreshing was the open and honest communication from Hallmark Homes. Because Hallmark Homes are family owned and operated, when you build with Hallmark, you become part of the family.
We understand that building a new home is a significant investment and potentially a very stressful experience, which is why we put great effort into making our clients feel heard and kept in the loop at all stages of the process.
The couple said that they valued the transparent and prompt feedback that we provided.
The Quality
At Hallmark Homes, we only deliver the highest quality builds and pride ourselves on helping our clients achieve better Homestar ratings. Nico and Lisa have come to see for themselves just what this means.
Homestar ratings measure a home’s energy efficiency, property management, design and other innovations on a scale between 6 and 10.
“The house is very well designed, sunny and built to the highest standards with above average insulation, ducted heating and double glazed e-glass and meets the highest Homestar certification,” the two said, noting how the house was warmer, drier and more energy efficient and generally healthier all round.
Moreover, by achieving a high Homestar rating, the Cardrona house can qualify for discounted mortgages at several retail banks, making it well worth the investment.
“If you visit a Hallmark showhome, you will see that their homes stand out from the rest! We highly recommend building with them,” the happy couple exclaimed.
