8 exciting ceiling light styles for 2025

If you are trying to achieve a more organic look, going with a Boho style for your ceiling light is a great option. It adds a natural feel to the room, which is perfect for decorating with other natural decor elements. You can add house plants, bamboo products, and wicker baskets and use neutral colours along with green. If you want a few fun pops of colour, adding accents that have colour works well with the Boho style. Using more natural elements in your home can also help your entire mental outlook.

A coastal style usually emphasises lighter blue colours, beige and natural colours, as well as detailed drapery or sea glass decor. Anything with a lighter, airy feel is what you want to go for to get a coastal style. Covering chairs or other furniture with neutral drapery is also a coastal style. In terms of lights, going with wooden bamboo furnishings will help you achieve a coastal look. Having lampshades that have light linen shades will also add to your coastal theme. For outdoor rooms or an outdoor area, using old lanterns as pendant lighting is a great trend. It creates a coastal vibe and sets the scene of being on the shore near a lighthouse.

Industrial-style ceiling lighting is one of the biggest trends this year. This style of lighting uses metals and materials you would usually find in a factory, hardware store, or other larger industry store. Refurbished metal and steel materials can create a more natural vibe (in a different way) with a focus on the rawness of elements. It creates a strong aesthetic that sets the entire mood of a space. Most of the time, industrial-style ceiling lights are used in kitchen spaces. They can come in the form of pendant lights, flush lighting, track lighting or any other style of ceiling light that you prefer to use. Common features of an industrial-style light include exposed bulbs, metal shades, or wire cages.

Moroccan style lighting is perfect for your home if you are going for a warm vibe. The natural colour of the lights, the detailed texture, and the polished look emit a type of cosiness that will make you want to sit down with a book and never leave the room. While some types of Moroccan lights are typified by patterned coloured glass, others are dominated by brass, which adds its own distinctiveness to your home. Frosted glass is also popular with these lights adding another layer of texture with some soft diffused light. Moroccan-style lights can be in the form of pendant lighting, a chandelier, or a more intricate design that adds to your home's vibe. These lights can go just about anywhere in your home.

The French style is one that never goes out of fashion. Its intricate, ornate design grabs the attention of anyone who walks into a room. Bedrooms are well suited to French style ceiling lights, especially when going for a more decorative look. This can be realised as a large chandelier that hangs over the bed or one that is placed in the middle of the room. Most French-style ceiling lights are elegant additions to a home, especially when you want a softer light and centrepiece to a room.
