The Weathergroove Range

Weathergroove Natural is the range's most expressive option — an unprimed, unsealed panel that captures the raw character of undressed Australian hardwood. Its surface is pressed to produce a deep, random woodgrain effect that reveals the knots, cracks, and imperfections that give natural timber its soul. For designers who want a material that feels genuinely connected to the landscape, there is nothing quite like it.

The Natural panel is designed to evolve. Left unsealed, it weathers over time — silvering and shifting in depth and tone based on orientation, sun exposure, and climate. This living quality means every installation develops its own unique patina, telling the story of the building as it ages. For those who prefer consistency, the surface can also be oiled or stained to preserve the warm brown tones of fresh timber, or taken in an entirely different direction with a coloured stain.

Covered by a 10-year warranty against rot, splitting, and cracking, and carrying the highest environmental credentials in the Weathergroove range, Natural is the ideal choice for projects where authenticity and sustainability are equally non-negotiable.

For projects that demand warmth, texture, and a connection to the natural world, Weathergroove Woodsman delivers an authentic timber aesthetic without the maintenance concerns of raw timber cladding. Its pressed surface is embossed with a realistic woodgrain pattern — capturing the knots, curves, and subtle irregularities of real wood grain — creating facades with a striking, organic character that stands out in any streetscape.

Despite its natural appearance, Woodsman is an engineered product built for the demands of the Australian climate. Manufactured from PEFC-certified hardwood with no added silica or formaldehyde, it offers excellent dimensional stability, low maintenance, and long-term durability. The textured surface also accepts water-based acrylics readily, so the warmth of timber can be expressed in any colour the project requires.

The Woodsman profile is well suited to projects where a traditional or organic design language is desired — coastal homes, bushland retreats, and community buildings alike — and its large-format panels ensure it can cover substantial areas without sacrificing that handcrafted feel.

When the design calls for clean geometry and a flawless painted finish, Weathergroove Smooth is the natural choice. Its smooth, flat surface provides an ideal canvas for virtually any exterior-grade water-based acrylic paint, giving specifiers total freedom over the final colour and feel of a facade. The result is a crisp, seamless wall surface that reads as refined and intentional, whether you're working on a bold commercial building or a understated residential home.

Available across multiple groove spacings — from the tight 75mm pitch to the expansive 1200mm width — Weathergroove Smooth adapts to the scale of your design. Narrower profiles create rhythm and texture through repetition, while wider spacings emphasise the panel's broad, uninterrupted surface. CodeMark certified and PEFC-compliant, it's equally dependable for both residential and commercial specifications.

Suitable for both external cladding and internal lining applications, Weathergroove Smooth is one of the most versatile panels in the range — and its primed surface means it's ready to paint straight from the pack.

Weathergroove Ruff Sawn brings a distinctive rustic character to the range. Its surface is defined by uneven vertical and horizontal shallow lines that replicate the rough-cut marks left behind by a saw blade on raw timber — a finish that feels honest, tactile, and full of personality. The result is a facade that carries a sense of craft and history, making it a standout choice for projects that aim to feel grounded and authentic rather than polished and precise.

Despite its rugged aesthetic, Ruff Sawn shares all the practical qualities the Weathergroove range is known for. It is manufactured from PEFC-certified hardwood in 100% natural composition — free from added silica or formaldehydes — and the primed surface readily accepts most water-based acrylic paints, allowing the rustic texture to be expressed in virtually any colour palette, from raw earthy tones to bold contemporary hues.

CodeMark certified and Global GreenTag Gold certified, Ruff Sawn is equally at home on residential facades, multi-residential developments, and commercial projects where a warm, textured surface is called for. Its large-format 3,660mm panels make it as efficient to install as any other panel in the Weathergroove family.
