This legal office has been transformed into a dynamic, welcoming space

In a space that can so often be cold and uninviting, natural timbers bring warmth to the office. The colour palette, designed by Hofmann, features neutral tones with subtle accents that reflect the firm’s brand – the whole space more akin to a high-end boutique hotel or club as opposed to a traditional office environment.

One of the standout features of the office is the custom wall panelling throughout, which has been crafted by Evolution Construction & Interiors to seamlessly integrate into this palette.

Evolution was also responsible for bringing custom joinery such as cabinets, shelving units and furniture designs to life, including the ottoman in the reception space. With a double-sided seat, the piece connects two seating areas – the timber and fabric complementing the rest of the palette.

“Clients considering Evolution for their projects, whether they be office spaces or high-end residentials, should recognise the importance of early and detailed collaboration. This is especially true when integrating bespoke elements such as custom joinery and feature walls,” says Oliveira.

“By involving us from the outset, we can work closely with designers to ensure that each element is crafted with precision to meet both aesthetic and functional needs. Our experience in delivering high-quality joinery and striking feature walls across various types of projects guarantees that the final outcome will be not only visually stunning but also perfectly aligned with the client’s vision. Clear communication and flexibility throughout the project are key to achieving results that exceed expectations.”

This is also important with the challenges facing the industry today, including the rising cost of materials which can influence project timelines and budgets. At the same time, there is an increasing demand for unique, personalised design solutions.

“This demand pushes us to continually innovate and refine our approach to bespoke joinery, feature walls and other custom elements,” says Oliveira. “At Evolution, we embrace these challenges by focusing on creativity, craftsmanship and adaptability. Our ability to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions – even in a shifting market – ensures that we meet and exceed our clients’ expectations, regardless of the complexities involved.”

Every project that Evolution is engaged to work on begins with understanding the client’s needs and vision. If the client already has a design concept, the team will collaborate closely to bring that vision to life with meticulous attention to detail.

“However, if the client does not have a design in place, our team is fully capable of developing a custom design concept that aligns with their goals and style preferences. From there, we handle all aspects of the project, including the creation of bespoke joinery and feature walls, ensuring that every element is crafted to the highest standards. Throughout the project, we maintain open communication, providing regular updates and making adjustments as needed.”

Completed over three months, starting from the initial conception developed by Wim Studio, the Russell McVeagh office refurbishment is a prime example of Evolution Construction & Interior’s craftsmanship. The result is a space that is both modern and welcoming, with a cohesive design bringing all elements together.
