Eurolight boards are composite boards with extremely strong top layers made of thin particleboard that enclose a lightweight yet robust hexagonal cardboard honeycomb core. Despite their low weight, they are very stable and provide numerous design and construction possibilities for furniture and interior design. The range is available raw 38mm and 50mm thick and in a select range of colours in 50mm thick.

Contemporary modern design has seen a popular emergence of warm timber textures and natural minerals applied to interior surfaces. However, for projects and applications that require a lightweight approach this can present the challenge of limited interior design options. To overcome this hurdle, ForestOne brings a lightweight and robust solution to the Australian market that combines the natural features of solid timber and marble with the functionality and durability of laminate with Eurolight.

Providing architects and designers the flexibility to curate beautiful interiors without the limitations of weight restrictions, Eurolight is an innovative decorative composite board that consists of strong surface layers made from particleboard and enclosed is a lightweight, hexagonal cardboard core. The unique technical application of the inner core presents a honeycomb structure that provides exceptional compression, strength and rigidity, allowing Eurolight to withstand the impact of high loads. Additionally, Eurolight provides similar strength to other timber products, yet with fewer materials is 50% lighter in comparison to commonly used substrates. Despite its low weight this makes Eurolight the perfect option for heavy-duty areas.

Lightweight, versatile and incredibly durable the benefits of Eurolight extend to the environment with its sustainable approach. Delivering the highest standards in environmental performance Eurolight is resource-efficient due to its low wood content, while its outer particleboard substrate is made from 59% of recycled materials.

The ultimate interior decorative solution in efficient functionality, Eurolight offers an easy-to-install solution with flexural rigidity and can be used for a range of applications. Keeping the aesthetic charm and functionality of traditional timber panelling or marble surfaces, Eurolight replaces heavier, harder materials and is most commonly applied in commercial projects across tabletops, interior doors, desktops, partitions, store shelving and furniture. For projects that require a high level of hygiene, Eurolight confidently meets the demands of cleanliness with its antibacterial surface property in accordance with ISO 22196 for pre-finished panels and provides a low maintenance and no-fuss solution.

With an on-going commitment to stay ahead of the curb and exceed design expectations, Eurolight is available in eight of the most in-demand decors from the core EGGER range in a pre-finished 50mm thickness or 38mm raw panel. This allows designers and architects to perfectly synchronise a full design and coordinate surfaces with other interior EGGER applications. With surfaces available in natural woodgrains from our Feelwood range this brings a warm and earthy look, while the addition of mineral textures is reminiscent of marble, alongside classic surfaces in black and white for a minimalistic approach to provide design flexibility for any interior space.
