A traditional community venue in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire has been reimagined as a contemporary hospitality, dining and entertainment space. The refurbishment of The Willarong Club brings together 12 ForestOne decors from the EGGER and MEGANITE Decorative Collections, specified across gaming, amenities, locker areas, lounge, social and dining spaces. The result is a layered, highly-considered interior that balances warmth, durability and long-term material performance.
Built for high-traffic hospitality
Across the venue, the material palette combines woodgrain laminates, solid colours, stone-inspired surfaces, metallic finishes, EGGER Compact Laminate, Eurolight Panels and MEGANITE Acrylic Solid Surface.
In the amenities and locker areas, EGGER Compact Laminate was selected for its moisture resistance and impact durability. Reed Green U604 ST9 and Rusty Red U335 ST9 introduce controlled colour across lockers and cubicle doors, while Natural Kendal Oak H3170 ST12 brings warmth. Dark Grey Chicago Concrete F187 ST9 adds a contemporary contrast across partition walls.
A standout detail is MEGANITE Acrylic Solid Surface in Winter Boulder 800A, used for custom-formed vanity benchtops with integrated basins. Its seamless finish supports hygiene and ease of maintenance, while showcasing the material’s fabrication potential in wet-area applications.
A Warm, Cohesive Hospitality Setting
In the lounge, social and dining areas, ForestOne's EGGER Feelwood and Materials decor create a refined hospitality palette
In the gaming room, Brown Warmia Walnut H1307 ST19 introduces tonal depth and timber warmth through wall panelling, setting the foundation for the venue’s layered material palette. Bleached Cuneo Oak H3311 ST28 and White Casella Oak H1384 ST40T40 introduce light timber tones across dining tables, complemented by Light Grey Calvia Stone F675 ST75 on selected tabletops. Stone Green U665 ST9 adds depth to low tables, while Bronze Brushed Metal F528 ST20 brings a subtle metallic accent to banquet booths.
In the social and TAB areas, Sand Orleans Oak H1377 ST36 continues across TV wall applications and Eurolight panel features, creating warmth and continuity across vertical surfaces.
The Willarong Club demonstrates how a thoughtfully specified decorative surface palette can support architectural intent across a high-traffic, multi-use venue.
