Whilst being a beautiful finish itself, Rockcote Lime Plaster Basecote is the preferred base coat for other Rockcote lime based products, such as Rockcote Marrakesh, Rockcote Venetian Plaster, Rockcote Velvetina and Rockcote Lime Wash.

Specifications

Rockcote Lime Plaster Basecote is usually applied and finished in two stages, using a steel trowel. Firstly the Rockcote Lime Plaster Basecote is applied and smoothed flat with a stainless steel trowel, ensuring full, even coverage of the surface area (approx. 2 mm thick). On stiffening, the surface can continue to be steel trowelled to produce a smooth, flat, surface finish. 

To finish Rockcote Lime Plaster Basecote you can use a variety of techniques ranging from float, sponge, Japanese trowel and a stainless steel trowel to achieve the desired effect. Suitable for interior use only. 

Suitable for the refurbishment and repair of heritage listed and architecturally sensitive buildings.
