ABOUT THE PROJECT

Located in the historic suburb of Tighes Hill, the unique multi-purpose site is comprised of 14 townhouses, each featuring three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms accessed from Henry and Unions streets along with 3 commercial premises on Elizabeth St.

The architectural development draws upon the unique materiality, form and character of the Tighes Hill area. The massing, façade proportions and streetscape rhythm reflect the character of the surrounding suburb whilst contemporary materials have been utilised to reference the predominant weatherboard and brickwork of the area.

The differentiation in cladding, vertically proportioning and recessed verandas combine to create a visually interesting façade with an active street front providing passive surveillance to the street and promoting Elizabeth Street as a viable commercial centre on the city fringe.

About the
Professional

As a team of architects, designers and project managers with local knowledge and international experience, we are constantly putting our skills to the test to create outstanding design solutions for our clients across the multi-residential, workplace, education, health, retail, community, residential, industrial and hospitality sectors.

Architecture is expressive, innovative and creative, but it’s also about solving problems and overcoming limits. Our team challenge the status quo, elevate clients’ missions, and seek to measurably improve lives and communities.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
