This internal refurbishment of a 800m2 space created a dynamic library, a true location of information gathering and sorting. Within the library are several group meeting rooms, a large acoustically isolated space used as the school’s music room, staff resource spaces and a busy art and science learning space suitable for contemporary STEAM curriculum. A 15m long curving wall is painted in eight different colours to create a rainbow divide between the multi-purpose library and art spaces and the Foundation Learning Area, home to school’s youngest students. New staff and student toilet facilities were installed giving the exiting multi-purpose hall independence from other school buildings further supporting after-school programs.
