Winter Bach, Castle Hill banner

This project is a new-build holiday home. The structure is two storey in height with half of the footprint containing a first floor and the other half featuring a full height ceiling. The structural challenges were all driven by the building being in a geographical location with significant wind load, snow load and seismic design requirements. The structure is braced by three steel portal frames which are hidden within a thin skillion ceiling which extends out to the eaves through the large glazed feature window.
