Forte Orthopaedics / 2013
The project consists of a 400m² Fitout for a group of Orthopaedic Surgeons comprising 4 Consultation Suites, Plaster room, Treatment room, Admin spaces, Reception and staff facilities. The brief was it design a space to portray a strong sense of robustness & quality.
All spaces are planned around a central waiting area dominated by a living green wall and ‘cricket pitch’ carpet. The consulting and admin spaces are located to maximise the external glazing and finished in high quality materials to create a strong aesthetic reflective of the tenant’s character. A feature of the consulting suites is the large sliding screens used, in lieu of the typical curtain, to provide privacy to the examination areas.
Design decisions were made to reinforce the fresh & environmentally conscious brand of the newly formed Forte Health entity and to avoid the clinical feel of many medical facilities.
