This renovation project transformed into a beautiful Hamptons style surf house including 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with plenty of space for entertaining inside and out. When we first went to look at this house for a renovation there was no doubt this was the ugly duckling of the street. These Central Coast Builders had a lot of work ahead.

Set on the beach at Wamberal was a circa 1970 built home. Central Coast Luxury Homes were tasked with converting this dated home into a Hamptons inspired architectural masterpiece. The end product, spot-on says the owners.

The Hamptons theme carried through the inside with period staircase, cornices, skirting and architraves, it’s also furnished superbly with detail everywhere.

This home is now a gem along the coastal strip of Wamberal and admired by locals as they walk by with a fantastic street presence thanks to multi-award winning expertise of these Central Coast Builders.

Construction Challenges, Solutions, Techniques and Innovations during the home build:

Beachfront severe marine environment: This home is located right on the beach within 20m of massive breaking surf, selecting material was critical in the longevity and durability to the life span of the dwelling but still keeping architectural aesthetic in mind. Using 19mm Scyon linea weatherboard and Accent trim was used for enduring such harsh conditions. Aged antique brass fittings used inside and out really add a sophisticated touch.

Design: Plans based on an extremely dated design that had multiple renovations that we had to deal with along the way. Mainly the single brick construction of the lower floor and low headroom and small floor joist section added difficulty.

Conversion – This dated multi renovated home into a luxury waterfront residence with a Hamptons theme on a tight budget presented many complex issues. All whilst being done on a cost-plus basis providing fortnightly cost estimates with updates to owners requests and changes was challenging. In the end, the owners were completely satisfied and happy with the outcome.
