The designer, Alex Morrison Interiors, flipped the original floorpan so that the primary living spaces could take full advantage of the beautiful Darling Point harbour views year round but also allowed for a cosy fireplace set in the cooler months. Product Used: HW3573 Ryde Herringbone When interior designer, Alex, from Alex Morrison Interiors, first saw the apartment, she was completely captivated by the location and the potential the space offered. Tucked away in a harbour-side cul-de-sac in Sydney's Darling Point was a wonderful apartment that was crying out for change. "The original layout was disjointed and there was a disconnect between the key living spaces and harbour views." - Alex, Interior Designer This meant flipping the floor plan so that the kitchen and living areas could enjoy the spectacular views year-round and allow for better natural light to reflect off the bay and into the space. Ryde Herringbone from the Havwoods V Collection was selected for this project due to its lighter tone which helped create a more open feel and the striking pattern which added a beautiful layer of detail. "Throughout the day the areas of the home are forever changing with the natural light. The Ryde board has wonderful texture and variations which are illuminated as the day goes by adding layers of detail to the design." - Alex, Interior Designer The herringbone floors became a feature of the space. The warm light tones of the boards softened the space allowing it to feel effortlessly luxurious. Ryde from the V Collection is a popular choice amongst our clients.
