Introducing Hukatai, a social housing project for Te Āhuru Mōwai that embodies warmth, comfort, and community. With 12 units designed by Toa Architects and built by Duncan Commercial Construction, this development offers a mix of three-bedroom, two-bedroom, and one-and-a-half-bedroom units. Notably, four units are specially designed for Kaumātua, showcasing a deep respect for our elders.  The unique Maori design elements are woven throughout the project, from the colours to the intricate details on the bricks, fencing, and driveway. These beautiful homes are not just buildings; they are spaces created with care for whānau, providing a safe and dry environment close to essential amenities. Completed in 2024, Hukatai represents modern architecture at its finest, offering a blend of innovation and tradition in every corner.
