Iftar is a contemporary hospitality project completed in 2025, featuring a state-of-the-art Marana Forni Pizza TTT50 Su&GIU Rotary Oven. The design, by Killing Matt Wood Studios draws inspiration from the architectural heritage of the Middle East, seamlessly blending traditional vernacular elements with a sleek, modern aesthetic. The result is a vibrant and inviting space that celebrates cultural richness through a thoughtful combination of natural materials, textured surfaces, and warm, welcoming tones.
The interior design synthesises classic Middle Eastern motifs with contemporary sensibilities, utilising tactile materials such as stone, timber, and cork. Earthy colour palettes reminiscent of regional landscapes—ranging from red and pink stones to sand and warm timber hues—are complemented by varied flooring textures that add visual intrigue and movement. A distinctive geometric cylindrical ceiling introduces openness and fluidity, subtly referencing regional dune formations and enhancing the overall flow of the space. This project demonstrates a commitment to sustainable construction techniques and craftsmanship, creating a project that is both culturally resonant and distinctly modern in the commercial interiors sector, values shared by Marana Australia.
