Jackson Street

Jackson Street is an exciting development that sensitively responds to the adjacent heritage area of Petone while offering residents premium shared community facilities alongside modern apartment living. Located directly across Jackson Street from our currently under construction “The District”, this project has been designed to respect and complement The District creating what is essentially a gateway into the main strip of the iconic Jackson Street. This project delivers 52 apartments in a mixture of one and two-bedroom configurations along with ground floor commercial space and a roof type communal space to an under-utilised property. The building has designed to be flexible in its tenure demographic. UPL are considering holding the building for their own portfolio housing disadvantaged elderly, at the same time it has wider market appeal such that it could just as easily be offered to the general market. The architectural response has been strongly supported by the Hutt City Council as a definitively modern building that has sympathetically responded to the neighbouring heritage context of Petone. The project has Resource Consent and is currently working through strategies around contractor procurement to deliver the project..
