Cambridge Terrace Apartments: A pioneering three-storey residential building in Waterloo, featuring spacious one to three-bedroom apartments with outdoor connections, generous ceiling heights, and a design that fosters community engagement.
This project breaks new ground for Waterloo. Cambridge Terrace Apartments is the first three-storey apartment building in the village — thanks to the area’s recent rezoning to support residential intensification. Our design prioritises comfortable living, providing all living spaces with an outdoor connection that balances views and sunshine, with privacy. The building’s placement on the site makes the most of its corner location — serving as a ‘gateway’ to the village beyond and neighbouring park. Easy pedestrian routes, between the apartments and local amenities, fosters a sense of connection between residents and their wider community.
The design delivers a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. All second and third-storey apartments benefit from balconies with fine railings that reveal views out to the neighbouring park and/or the Eastern and Western Hills beyond. The result is warm, well-lit and welcoming lounge and dining areas. Generous ceiling heights of 2.7metres and window heights of 2.4metres — both well above average residential specs — add to that sense of spaciousness.
Notably, only five carparks have been provided. Thanks to the site’s close proximity to Waterloo train and bus stations, residents will enjoy easy access to their local community. Visually too, this sense of community is inherent in the design. The corner site provides every apartment with a direct outlook over the streetscape and wider surrounds, either towards the north-east, or north-west.
