Scope of Work

Detailed design, engineering, manufacture, supply and installation of Fabric Roof Canopy for transit on bridge between John Street and Riverside Drive, Whangarei – needed to be something that projected the image of the area.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This is a structure depicting sails in keeping with the boat mooring area of the Town Basin. The design was to enable pedestrians to cross from one side of the river to the other by foot under cover. Once the cover was designed the Council started there monthly local night time markets on the bridge.

The steel work constructed by Culham Engineering, local Whangarei Company, was designed by Fabric Structures in such a way that the steel structure supporting the canopy looked sails of boats

This structure is lit up at night going through different colors through specialized lighting.
