Just Another Fisherman _ Commercial Bay

Standing in contrast to the glossy, glass-fronted retail stores in the new Commercial Bay complex, you will find a stealthily clad, black-stained timber store with rusty signage. Within the warm glow of oak lies a haven for any man who enjoys everything associated with fishing and the outdoor lifestyle.

Working within the confines of a small 46m² corner site, the external facade has been entirely clad in black-stained rough-sawn timber battens, offering only a few small glimpses of the interior through rusty steel-framed windows. The idea was to entice shoppers to seek shelter amongst the hustle and bustle of the retail complex and absorb the brand's physical and visual offerings.

Given the small space, effort was made to ensure that detailing remained discreet, with invisible doors leading to both the changing room and store rooms. Their locations are simply highlighted with spotlights, aiming not to detract from the overall shopping experience.
