DCM Urban Design recently had the pleasure of working with William Hill Consulting and Waimakariri District Council on the Kaiapoi Red Zone Re-Development Project. A feasibility study was undertaken to explore the possibilities of re-developing an area of the red zone in Kaiapoi.

The a number of conceptual plans for the area were developed, which included the addition of markets, restaurants, bars, public open space and the reconnecting of the river with the township. A series of different design scenarios were investigated.

DCM Urban Design looks forward to continuing to work with William Hill Consulting and Waimakariri District Council on this project.
