A welcoming residential renovation blending Art Deco charm, contemporary design, and modernist influences with natural materials and serene interiors.
Karibu, a Swahili word meaning “welcome,” perfectly captures the essence of this modest yet impactful residential renovation project.
The design retains it’s original brick facade with a combination of Art Deco, contemporary, and modernist influences ensures that the space is not only welcoming but also stylish and architecturally interesting. The use of natural and industrial materials like rustic timber, metal, and concrete adds to the home’s unique character, making it a place where history and modernity coexist harmoniously.
Inside, the colour palette of mulberry and soft blue creates a welcoming and serene atmosphere. Mulberry adds a sense of luxury, while blue promotes relaxation.
This thoughtful blend of styles and materials ensures the home is both inviting and architecturally interesting, embodying the spirit of the projects name.
