Lusail Multipurpose Hall: A state-of-the-art 15,000 capacity indoor arena in Qatar, designed for versatility in sports and entertainment, featuring advanced lighting systems and achieving a 4-star GSAS Rating for sustainability.
Webb International
After successfully hosting the 2015 World Men’s Handball Championship, this 15,000 capacity indoor multipurpose hall has become a hub for various concerts / entertaining activities in Qatar.
The multipurpose indoor arena was lit to cater for a variety of sports as well as private functions. Complete DMX control for sports as well as venue lights was added to provide maximum flexibility.
State-of-the-art LED luminaires and controls were used to precisely control the beams. All documentation was carried out in Revit to provide the client a completely coordinated set of services.
Webb Australia Group was selected to design specialist sports lighting, decorative lighting, central gondola, AV systems and advertisement ticker screens.
Being the largest multipurpose hall in the Middle East, our scope was to use efficient lighting systems, which helped it become the first stadium projects in Qatar to achieve 4 star Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) Rating.
