Matarangi Beach House

In the chill of mid-winter, there is a sunny clearing among the pines which fringe the Coromandel coastline. Perforations in the structure are carefully controlled to provide visual pathways through the house and from the house to its surroundings. These help to create a contemporary house for classic New Zealand beach holidays.

"Geoff Lentz has cultivated a mature and pleasingly innovative style of his own. In this house, he confidently combines it with quirky, client-inspired details to create a surprisingly elegant house nestled discretely into the wooded surrounds".
