Education

McClelland College is a school with a strong emphasis on preparing its students for success in real life. With an underlying goal to instil an eagerness to learn, our design grappled with the many unique interests and passions of the students.

One classroom that champions this idea is dedicated for what the staff dub ‘STEAM’ (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), and is fit out with state-of-the-art technology such as 3D printers.

Easily adaptable collaborative spaces gives students freedom in their learning, and accommodates for the flux of teaching styles over time.

New art classrooms especially realise this idea, open to corridor gallery space and breakout art areas – a collaborative network of activity and learning.

Notions of “community” and “relationship” were paramount in the design of a new sports stadium. By day, it would function as a gymnasium for students; by night, a public facility for the enjoyment and use of all locals.

This communal identity and unification is brought to life by the building’s façade, coloured vertical blades spanning the length of both old and new stadium.

About the
Professional

We are an international architecture and interior design practice with a vision to Nurture the Future. With offices in Melbourne, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, K2LD is now over 20 years old. We’re a proud, passionate and diverse group of individuals who combine to create great outcomes for our clients and the urban environment.

It’s in our differences that we find our distinctiveness, and that shows in our work – from all scales of single or multi-residential and commercial developments, through to public and private education and infrastructure projects throughout the region.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
