The North Bondi House is a beautifully designed renovation project that transformed a 1980s semi-detached house into a modern, elegant and functional home. Every available space in the compact floor plan is utilised, while at the same time ensuring the building footprint was not increased.

The renovation was focused on creating a strong connection between the indoors and outdoors, with retractable glass doors and timber bleacher steps that overlook the garden. Natural light and sea breezes were harnessed to create a bright and airy atmosphere throughout the home.

The design also incorporated ample storage to minimise clutter and create a calm and relaxed environment. The restrained material palette of terrazzo, oak, and v-groove joinery creates a timeless and elegant atmosphere.

The spaces have been designed to a human scale, allowing for both small and large comfortable family gatherings. The result is a home that is both functional and beautiful, offering a peaceful retreat from the busy world outside.
