A purpose-built Music Facility with a strong connection to site.
The new Music Building is a modest single-story hub situated between Junior and Senior campuses, highlighting the significance of music in a Steiner environment. Music underpins both the Steiner curriculum and pedagogy. The building includes four music practice rooms, one large rehearsal room and staff offices.
Orana Steiner School run a successful peripatetic music program, thus consideration into the movements of both staff and students, along with passive monitoring from the office space and adjacent music classrooms was a key factor in the design. Additionally, purpose-built instrument storage aids the accomplished String Music Program.
Nestled into the side of the school oval, the rehearsal room opens to the North, providing further performance and practice opportunity for the school.
