Park House: A Passive Low Energy Building in Harmony with Nature

At DiMase Architects the environment as a primary concern when designing various residential and commercial projects. The is evident in Park House as you experience the perfect blend of comfort, sustainability, and connection to nature with Park House, a stunning residential property located adjacent to All Nations Park in Northcote. Designed to be in harmony with its surroundings, this Low Energy Building is accredited by the Passive House Institute and incorporates all the Passive House principles to ensure energy efficiency and thermal comfort.

The design of Park House focuses on minimising energy losses and heat gain, resulting in lower energy consumption and greater thermal comfort for the client. With a strong emphasis on sustainability, environmentally friendly materials have been carefully selected throughout the building, while the external materials and colour choices draw inspiration from the beautiful eucalyptus trees nearby.

But Park House is more than just a sustainable home. It is a celebration of nature and its wonders. The landscape design incorporates native plants to enhance biodiversity and create a sustainable ecosystem in the surrounding area. The living areas are strategically located on the first floor to maximise the stunning views and northern aspect, while the bedrooms provide flexibility and privacy on both levels. By connecting people to their surroundings, Park House becomes a living, breathing place that flourishes as part of the landscape.

Experience the beauty and inspiration of Park House as it seamlessly integrates with the environment, offering a truly unique and sustainable living experience.

“It was a pleasure having DiMase Architects work on a major upgrade to our terrace house in Fitzroy. Antony commenced our project with his customary quiet and confident demeanour, and his wealth of experience quickly became evident. Antony and Niea listened carefully to our requirements and guided us deftly through the process, providing excellent advice along the way. They were able to skilfully accommodate our ever-changing needs, and went about the business always with good humour and yet the utmost professionalism. We liked Antony’s passion for the environment, and his ideas to create high quality, sustainable solutions. We also liked Antony’s willingness to share his considerable knowledge and to train and empower the younger members of his team, and his pride in ensuring a diverse and inclusive work environment. In addition, Antony’s passion for the use of his bicycle as a mode of transport regardless of the distance and weather conditions was enviable and arguably unparalleled. The result of such passion and pride in his work resulted, in our case, in a clever architectural solution that struck the perfect balance between comfortable, contemporary living, and a nod to the Victorian heritage of our home.”
