Pipi is a beautifully sculpted building for Sydney’s Bondi Beach. Comprising29 apartments atop ground-floor retail, there’s something both arresting and classical in the swooping gestures of the grand vertical bays. Sun-bleached tones of light-grey concrete, white terracotta, and brick are durable and suited to the coastal location. Behind the façade, clever planning unlocks the potential of this heavily congested site, with lightwells on either side that give form to the building and balconies that maximise solar access, and amenity to the residents.
