Unassuming and hidden from the street, this garden was an exciting collaboration in which we worked alongside Svalbe & Co. The garden acts as a bridge between the existing sandstone workers' cottage and its new minimalist, Japanese inspired addition designed by Future Method Studios and YSG Studios.
Intricately detailed and drawing on the materiality of both old and new, it provides a place of refuge to be enjoyed from within or from above.
Outdoor Establishments constructed the landscape in its entirety and have continued to maintain and develop the garden since its completion. The highly considered design and attention to details by Svalbe & Co made this project a joy to construct.
