Seabird House

A home with presence. Now it has the function to match. From the moment you step through the gate, Seabird House has personality in spades. Our clients built it, loved it, then moved back in after some time away and realised it wasn’t quite working for how they actually live. The laundry wasn’t practical, the bathroom needed some love, and the master suite was far from the sanctuary they’d imagined. Our brief was simple: make the home function for them while celebrating their style. We reconfigured the laundry and added a guest bathroom and shower. We gave an existing bathroom the personality it was missing. Added custom joinery to the study and we turned the master suite, including the walk-in robe and ensuite, into a place to retreat to. Each space reflects a different member of the household, but they still sit together as one cohesive home: dark, moody tones in the study, light and bright in the laundry, a pop of colour in the bathroom, and a warm, light-filled, spa-like WIR and ensuite. The result? A home that works as well as it looks, celebrates its materials, and makes even the laundry something the family actually enjoys doing.
