Staffa Bay
Built upon the footprint of the original bach, Staffa Bay House provided a new beach house for casual family living. The site is nestled amongst mature pohutukawa and classic New Zealand baches, the home-oriented out towards the bay.
The lower floor houses all the necessary beach toys for the family, while the upper floor features the verandah as the main living space and is fully connected to the indoor area. In addition to the standard accommodation, the main, self-contained bedroom is separated from the general living areas. It is private but still retains a connection to the beach.
Pete Brown Builders did an amazing job of bringing this project to life, demonstrating the passion between architect and builder to realise the client brief.
