A new bilingual primary school in Queenstown, designed for 700 students, completed in 12 months using innovative Design & Build methodologies and a detailed BIM model, in collaboration with Southbase Construction.
A new bilingual, 3,300m2 primary school on a greenfield site in Queenstown.
Partnering with Southbase Construction, we undertook this project as part of the innovation model for the Ministry of Education.
This project was mobilised with a master plan design for up to 700 students, followed by a preliminary design for the initial role of 450. Utilising Design & Build methodologies, we moved this project from Preliminary Design to Practical completion in 12 months.
Our BIM model was detailed to a typical LOD 300, leveraging off our iteratively developed standardised design from the innovation model. The efficiencies found within this model and BIM approach has supported the expedited programme.
