Templestowe house responds to the client brief to create a large family home across a one-storey building. The result is a sweeping design which follows the landscape and breaks off into three main wings. The west facade houses the main bedrooms for all family members as well as the entry to the home, while the north wing hosts a range of entertaining areas and the southern wing acts as a back-of-house area with laundry and storage facilities.
The central corridor for the household consists of kitchen, dining and living spaces which bring together the separate branches of the house and provide a hub for the family and guests alike.
Co-lab is a growing architecture practice based in Melbourne. We have many projects on the go across multi-residential, childcare, residential, and commercial.
