Enchanting fairy garden-themed play area designed for The Gardens School, where children can immerse themselves in a whimsical environment, exploring oversized natural elements that inspire imagination and creativity.
The client had a clear idea for what they wanted the space to become, the Headmistress had a vision for a play area with a fairy garden theme. It was lovely to work with a Headmistress who understand what her pupils love and need and is willing to bring that to life. The design intent was to create a play area for the pupils to escape reality and become part of the fairy garden elements. The main idea was to play with the scale of elements so that the children will feel like they are small fairies exploring the inner workings of a nest, flower and a bee. They then become the fairies in the garden dwarfed by the large scale of the recreated natural elements. The materials used also needed to be hardy and able to withstand the regular use of many children.
